English for General Purposes

These courses are designed for people who are studying English for general life purposes. There are two types of course:

General English courses aim to help you activate and extend your knowledge of English and develop your communicative skills of speaking and writing, as well as your receptive skills of listening and reading.  They are available at all levels from absolute beginners to advanced.  They are year-long courses made up of two semesters.

General English Focus courses are an opportunity to concentrate on your speaking and listening, your grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation or literature.  They can be taken in conjunction with a General English course or on their own.

English for Examination Purposes

We offer a number of courses that lead to recognised English language qualifications or help you develop the skills needed for academic study.

The IELTS Preparation course focuses on the skills needed to be successful in the IELTS exam.
